Septarian

Septarian (Dragon Stone) nodules were formed on the bottom of an ancient Gulf of Mexico sea floor. At the time, volcanic activity disturbed decaying sea life, making them roll around and collect mud. The water trapped inside the mud ball concretion is what caused the yellow calcite crystals.  Septarian has also been discovered in Madagascar.
