Runes were used for divination, to attract good fortune and to provide protection from various evil forces and events. Love, good luck, protection against evil etc. are as important today as they were centuries ago. Runes engraved on the gemstone makes it a very powerful talisman.
Snowflake Obsidian (Flowering Obsidian, Spherulitic Obsidian) is natural volcanic glass containing white 'snowflake' crystal patterns of the mineral cristobalite, originated due to partial crystallization of the glass.
Since Obsidian is a natural glass these tumbles may have razor-sharp edges that can easily cut skin and flesh if broken. Handle with care. Do not grind dry since long-term exposure to finely ground powder may lead to silicosis.
