Nephrite is a magnesium-rich amphibole [any of a class of rock-forming silicate or aluminosilicate minerals typically occurring as fibrous or columnar crystals]. Nephrite can also contain minor amounts of Apatite, Chromite, Datolite, Diopside, Grossularitic Garnet, Graphite, Magnetite, Prehnite, Pyrite, Rutile, Serpentine Polymorphs, Talc, Titanite, and Vesuvianite.
