Gabbro, also known as Indigo Gabbro, is a coarse-grained, dark-colored, intrusive igneous rock. It is usually black or dark green in color and composed mainly of the minerals calcium-rich Plagioclase Feldspar (Labradorite or Bytownite) and Augite (Clinopyroxene). It may also contain small amounts of Olivine, Gold, Silver, or Platinum.
Gabbro is the most abundant rock in the deep oceanic crust.
