Chrysocolla is a secondary mineral, it is always included with another mineral or stone, such as Malachite, Hematite, Quartz, Azurite, Cuprite, Dioptase, Wulfenite, etc. There are no known singular Chrysocolla crystals.
Malachite is a green copper carbonate hydroxide mineral (Cu2CO3(OH)2). The color of Malachite does not fade when exposed to light and was often used as paint pigment. Malachite forms within the Earth, in the oxidizing zone above copper deposits.
