Brecciated Jasper is opaque angular fragments of Jasper naturally bonded together. It is often formed during tectonic activity when the movements repeatedly crack and the Jasper 'heals' over a long periods of time. The Jasper is then filled with more Jasper (Quartz and Chalcedony).
