Amazonite is a member of the Feldspar group. It has a green to greenish gray color and is often found with Smoky Quartz inclusions. Amazonite may also have Albite, Tourmaline, and other mineral inclusions. It was named by Johann Friedrich August Breithaupt in 1847, for being found near the Amazon River.
