Chalcedony is a translucent microcrystalline type of quartz, the form of Quartz that is compact and formed of microscopic crystals. It occurs in many different forms, including botryoidal, stalactites & stalagmites.
 
A Geode is a rock with a hollow space inside that allows crystal to form and grow.
