Sunstone is a variety of Feldspar that has schiller. It commonly has a background color of orange/brown due to separate small Hematite (or Hematite and Ilmenite) crystals that give it it's flash and sparkle.
Ilmenite is a black iron-titanium oxide with a chemical composition of FeTiO3, a mineral in igneous rocks, sediments, and sedimentary rocks.
Moonstone is a potassium feldspar of the orthoclase family, It has a white shimmer called adularescence. The light diffraction is from thin alternating layers of orthoclase and albite. Moonstone is also known as Hecatolit, Chandrakanta, Feldspath Nacré.
