Gneiss

Gneiss (pronounced nīs) is a metamorphic rock with a banded or foliated, repetitive layering in metamorphic rocks. structure. It is typically coarse-grained and consisting mainly of feldspar, quartz, and mica.

Other minerals found in Gneiss include Andalusite, Biotite, Cordierite, Garnet, Kyanite, and Staurolite.
