Agate is a variety of translucent Chalcedony ranging in many colors due to mineral inclusions.

Bloodstone
Bloodstone is made up of dark green Chalcedony and Hematite (red inclusions). Some may also have spots of Pyrite.
Lore says that Bloodstone was first formed by drops of blood staining the stones at the foot of the cross at Christ's crucifixion.
