Kyanite is a silicate mineral, usually found in metamorphic rocks. It often forms from the high-pressure diversification of clay minerals during the metamorphism of sedimentary rocks.

Fuchsite is a variety of green Muscovite and has a high chromium content, giving it it's green coloration. It can be found with Corundum, Hematite, Kyanite, Pyrite, Ruby, Quartz, and even Gold.

It is one of the most commonly misspelled minerals in the lapidary market. It is often misspelled (and mispronounced) as fuschite, with a long 'u' and a long 'i'. In 1842 the material was named by Karl F. Emil von Schafhäutl in honor of Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs, a German chemist and mineralogist. His name is pronounced “fooks” - similar to the way you pronounce 'books' and 'looks'.

Ruby Corundum is an extremely hard rock-forming mineral that is found in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. It is an aluminum oxide with a chemical composition of Al2O3 and a hexagonal crystal structure. Ruby and Sapphire are varieties of Corundum.
