Desert Roses, known as Sand Roses, Rose Rocks, Selenite Roses, and Gypsum Roses, occurs naturally. It is a formation of selenite gypsum. Water is involved in their formation, even in the desert. The desert rose is formed through a process of moisture condensation, the selenite huddles together and forms a mass, this mass is then subjected to the elements around it and through sand and wind erosion, therefore, desert roses should not be kept near high humidity or in water.. These can be found in many desert areas.
